MICHELLE!

Just one more fav photo of the evening. I can't sleep thinking about how moved I was by her presentation. It wasn't just her words but the way she has rallied against the "unpatriotic" meme. Every aspect of her story and Barack's story is so classic, so core to what many contend are so called "real" American values. Although their politics may be liberal, their story is really quite traditional. What's not to love?

Thanks again for a wonderful up to the minute report! We all watched
Michelle "take the night" while we
scanned the crowd looking for the
other classy 44 year old we knew
was on the convention floor...and
here you are!

I've never known you to be "speechless", but to be awed
in the presence of the enthusiastic display of "common
values common purpose" ...now
THAT'S my girl!

Love all three Obama girls. Dad isn't so bad either.

Can't wait for Hillary's speech tonight and also to hear from you what's the buzz on the floor. MSNBC folks think it was a bad move to schedule the Clintons over two nights...leaving only one night for Barack. Just hope they behave.

Still watching for you...

Just watching this on tv it's impossible to seperate the media's desire for a Clinton fight 'storyline' and the reality on the ground. They commentators are champing at the bit for some drama, but I have a sneaking suspicion the reality isn't all that dramatic. Clinton over two nights is maybe not all that bad, I'm hoping it comes off as placing Obama in the context of 'successful' democratic leaders...to in effect 'mainstream' him. Or it could totally backfire.

Liz - thanks for the great blog - great article in the Record this morning, too. We're following your adventure and are big Obama fans too. Ask the Governor if he likes corned beef - maybe he can join us next St. Patrick's Day. Keep it up! Best wishes from your neighbors, Karen and Ted
